LEADERSHIP BORN MORE THAN FOUR DECADES AGO
In 1962, the four grandsons of Vicente Vassallo Fiorimonte, an Italian immigrant who established a metal shop in Ponce, Puerto Rico in 1898, began experimenting with making construction products from a promising new substance, polyvinyl chloride, or PVC. Their daring decision to start manufacturing products with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) lead to the creation of a purely Puerto Rican company that has subsequently reaped great success in the plastics industry and has placed the name of Puerto Rico prominently for almost half a century.
What would become Industrias Vassallo was born with an investment of $3,000, the dedication of 12 people, and the will to innovate and excel. Today Industrias Vassallo celebrates 45 years as a world recognized company for its quality in plastic products and employs approximately 300 people in its plant in Puerto Rico. Thanks to the determination of its leaders, constant innovation of its product line, and the effort and dedication of those who make up Vassallo Industries, the company has maintained its status as a leader a manufacturing of plastic products.
